The Dubai Maritime Agenda, organised by the Dubai Maritime City Authority will return for the third edition on Sunday, 22nd September 2019, the first day of the UAE Maritime Week 2019, which is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council. 

Now an annual event, the UAE Maritime Week was launched to help bridge communication gaps in the global maritime industry and explore the future of the maritime sector from a perspective of innovation, knowledge, and smart transformation.

According to H.E. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation and Chairman of Dubai Maritime City Authority, the event represents an important step towards promoting Dubai and the UAE’s successful maritime experience on the global stage.

“We look forward to hosting the UAE Maritime Week annually in a strong push towards unifying international efforts for the maritime industry’s advancement. We will base our efforts on clear mechanisms to stimulate maritime innovation, enhance human investment, develop infrastructure, strengthen legislative and legal systems, and keep up with the rapid technological developments in the 21st century,” bin Sulayem added.

The Dubai Maritime Agenda will bring together a number of elite influential international dignitaries, leading regional and international experts, decision-makers and maritime leaders, and will once again provide a platform for highlighting Dubai's position as a major player the advancement of the local and global maritime industry based on the pillars of creativity, technical innovation, excellence, training and human investment.
